Penciled is a short encore piece of only moderate difficulty. It consists of a stacatto, rhythmic first section with a melody that folds back on itself like a pretzel; a short, dissonant and slower middle section that explores phrases in 3; and a march-like third section that picks up the spirit and ends with a sharp point.

Approximate performance time: 2:25 minutes.
